Complementing AYA’s ‘English Game’ model, the Dominus sidelock has been produced to meet demand for a high pheasant side by side.

The 12 gauge model is the latest launch from World Gunmakers’ Evening attendees Sportarm and ASI through Spanish manufacturer AYA.
With a large number of Sportarm’s clients using English ‘Live Pigeon’ guns for shooting large, tall bird days, it became apparent that there was a gap in the market for a more affordable model.

Working closely once again with the AYA factory in Spain and UK importer ASI, Sportarm chose to use the renowned AYA Model 56 with its side-clipped action as a starting point and set to work creating a gun that wouldn’t drift offline when firing 34g shells and that would still boast perfect balance, perfect handling and desirable aesthetics.

With production underway, demonstration models are already available to try at its Dorchester store and the retailer’s intention is to keep a range of guns in stock while also providing a special-order service for customers who want their own engraving, stock measurements and timber choice.

Available with 30in or 32in barrels, standard stocks measure 15in unless specially ordered and are available with straight-hand or Prince-of-Wales grips and in a choice of silver or colour-hardened action.
